What is the variation about:
Experience the lyrical beauty of Jerome Robbins' Dances at a Gathering in this half-day workshop for Intermediate/Advanced dancers. We will be learning a three-minute extract comprising solos, duets, and trios. This is a unique opportunity to explore Robbins' neoclassical choreographic style, blending classical technique with fluid, expressive movement.
Robbins’ style emphasises musicality, phrasing, and subtle storytelling, conveying emotion and relationships through gesture and spatial interaction rather than literal narrative. His choreography combines clean lines and precise technique with organic upper body movement and naturalistic expression, allowing dancers to explore both technical skill and personal interpretation. Set to Chopin's evocative piano compositions, this ballet invites dancers to explore themes of connection, individuality, and expressive freedom.
Schedule for the day:

A blend of classical technique with modern movement. A focus on releasing the upper body, enhancing fluidity, and deepening connection to the music.11.30 – 1:15pm: Repertoire Class
