We run private lessons for a number of adult dancers across London every week. We understand that everyone learns differently and sometimes a little extra support can make a big difference! Whether you are looking for a one off or more regular support, we are here to meet your needs.
WHAT DO I LEARN IN A PRIAVTE LESSON?
A private lesson caters to the needs of the student and therefore will focus on whatever it is YOU want to improve, whether that is mastering pirouettes, increasing flexibility or learning repertoire! Many people take privates to work on some of the following:
Private lessons are a great opportunity to improve your technique, this is because larger classes do not enable teachers to focus on your specific weaknesses and mistakes. Improving your technical understanding and knowledge will help you to get the most of any classes you do and will enhance the quality of your dancing
Learn choreography and set exercises
Do you want to brush up some choreography or improve a particular routine? Unlike most open classes, private lessons provide the opportunity to repeat specific exercises and moves, as many times as you need. This repetition is what helps you to see improvements, as they say - practice makes perfect!
Learn graded syllabus work (RAD), Grades 4 - 8
Though graded work is often associated with children or those in pre-professional training, it is an excellent way to learn ballet from the basics up. Grade work provides a solid foundation and helps to develop your ability to memorise exercises and increase musicality and dance quality. [Please note, we do not enter students for examinations].
Learn vocational work (Interfoundation, Intermediate and Advanced Foundation)
Vocational work is for more experienced students. If you would like some extra help with preparing for exams or improving pointe work, we are here to help. [Please note, we do not enter students for examinations].
Private lessons cost £55 per hour.
Two hour sessions cost £100
A block booking of 10 classes is eligible for a 10% discount.
*** Please note, studio hire is charged on top of the hourly rate and is typically £20 to £25 per hour
Groups of friends are welcome to attend private lessons together and split the cost

“I had been doing ballet for over a year and a half and felt like I hadn’t improved at all in that time! I still couldn’t do a pirouette or find any balance in centre exercises. After only three private lessons I feel so different! I understand what I am meant to be doing now and I can self-correct myself better. I have finally learnt how to turn and even started working on Nikiya’s variation from La Bayadere. I’m almost 40 and thought I wouldn’t see much progress, but I was completely wrong about that! Thank you SO much for working with me and helping me to feel like a dancer!” - Emily, Secondary School Teacher
